Rho’s Journey

Where Entertainment and Inspiration Meet

A native of Chicago’s vibrant music and performing arts scenes, Rhona Bennett (Miss R&B) has the voice, style, gritty sense of self-determination and lifelong dedication to her craft which has helped her realize her dream and much more.

With over 27yrs professionally in the Entertainment Industry, Rhona Bennett’s talent has graced the studio, the stage and the screen. As a singer/ songwriter/ actress/ dancer/ author/ Personal Power Coach and overall creative spirit, Miss R&B has been afforded the opportunity to travel to many places in the world. Some of her accolades include being the ‘First Lady’ of Darkchild with her debut solo effort on Rodney Jerkins’ Darkchild/Sony imprint; her now classic role as “Nicole” on the Jamie Foxx Show in Jingles 2000; her beginnings as a Mouseketeer with the likes of Justin Timberlake, Christina Aguilera, Britney Spears and Ryan Gosling; her ‘BIG BREAK’ coming from the inspiring Oprah Winfrey on her television series, “The Women of Brewster Place”; and her current tenure with the legendary  ‘Funky Divas’ En Vogue, which has been a recurring collaboration for over a decade. You can also checkout the original Lifetime Television movie, “An En Vogue Christmas”, starring Rhona along with her bandmates Terry Ellis and Cindy Herron-Braggs, that was released for the 2014 holiday season!

Rhona also referred to as “Rho”, continues to expand her horizons. In 2010, she launched her ‘Personal Power Coaching’ business (visit askrho.com). Since 2012, she has authored five mini-books for the ‘NOW’ generation titled, Got Motivation? How To Stay Motivated; Find and Pursue Your Passion … Even With a Regular Job; Eating Healthier For Le$$; Beyond A Wish … How To Discover The Champion Within; and Beyond The Fear … Real stories of inspiration while facing illness and adversity. These books are designed to tackle BIG subjects in a smaller amount of time.

She does all of this to keep in step with her motto, “I believe in personal growth and contribution until we leave the planet.”

Miss R&B embraces a 21st century approach when it comes to the fusion of her two passions, Entertainment and ‘Personal Power’ Life Coaching. On her original web-based broadcast, Perspective’s Corner with Rhona ‘Rho’ Bennett, Rhona shared empowering information to assist her audience with thriving in life, while music helped to tell the story. She has since shifted gears and is bringing her experience and insight to her latest endeavor, ‘Music Wise’, a podcast co-hosted with Bindu DeKnock, an Intellectual Property attorney and musician living in The Netherlands. It’s a foreign exchange of incredible information supporting indie artists and anyone interested in a whole-istic approach to success.

Since the creation and expansion of Rhona’s vision, several ancillary projects have sprouted and are taking root. You can expect to see more books, CD’s, show developments, paraphernalia, and several products and services provided by her companies, Butterfly In Flight, Inc. and Operation 11, LLC.
